I have watched videos of various scholars who state that there is no direct religious link between wearing a dupatta and the Adhan. They claim it is not an obligatory (Fard) act to cover one’s head specifically because the Adhan is being called. What is the actual Islamic perspective on this, and if their claim is correct, what is the evidence or reference to support it?

Exactly, there is no direct connection between the dupatta and the Adhan. It is not mentioned anywhere that you must take a dupatta specifically because the Adhan is being called. We live our lives in such heedlessness, yet the moment the Adhan starts, we feel a sense of modesty and sit up straight—just as one becomes alert when an elder or someone important arrives. This feeling of respect is real, but it has no basis in Shariah. There is no scriptural proof for it.
