There is no other way to develop the meter for distinguishing right from wrong. The meter that tells you this is right and this is wrong. A connection with the Quran and Hadith, the feeling of Taqwa (God-consciousness), and the sense of fear of Allah will also make you punctual in prayer (Namaz), a giver of Zakat and Sadaqah (charity), it will heal your wounds, and it will decrease your growing arrogance.
