If someone's pen ends up with us and we have no idea when or how it got there, nor do we know who the owner is, what should be done with that pen?

If a pen has come into your possession and you do not know who the owner is, you may use it yourself while making a prayer for the owner's well-being. Alternatively, you can give it to a needy person so that the spiritual reward (sawab) continues to reach the actual owner.
