DWQA QuestionsCategory: QuestionsSetting Boundaries Against Judgmental Criticism
Dr. Asiya Staff asked 2 months ago
The act of speaking (or expressing a concern) has three possible objectives: To make someone understand (to educate or offer perspective). To warn (to caution against a harmful path or consequence). To repel/drive away (to establish a firm boundary that discourages the behaviour around you, even if it means distancing yourself).

You know a person who judges everyone all the time (good/bad) and says, "It is my opinion, and I incur no sin for it." [The Guidance is as follows:] "Remember one thing: we must offer advice (nasihat), not force; this was not even the role of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). Speak to them in an assertive style. If they try to turn it into a debate, then say: 'I have made my point. I pray to Allah to grant you ease.' [Also], share videos from the internet on same topic.
