It's very difficult for me to communicate my needs like personal space, time, my own work to others because my family is usually not used to listening to other's needs. I know it's my job to speak up, it's my job to communicate but I feel it very difficult due to overwhelming response of family. So my question is what is the best advice you can give to a beginner who is just starting to speak up, wants to have boundaries not only for herself but also wants to respect other's boundaries

"Since your family is not used to listening to anything, and you desire personal space, this is such a big challenge, and you feel lost. You want to at least start. We had a course, the 'Assertive Talk' course, which was meant for you.
Insha'Allah (God willing), Insha'Allah, we will also conduct a Round Two. So, stay tuned and keep asking about it. We held that course so we could understand ourselves, give respect to others, and also claim our rights.
In the beginning, you should do for them what is easy for you, give as much time as you can, and what you do will be reciprocated. When you give, you will also be able to claim [your space/time]. Keep asking about our course."
