DWQA QuestionsCategory: QuestionsPersistent Marriage Obstacles for Sister-in-Law
Dr. Asiya Staff asked 2 months ago
I asked a question before regarding my sister-in-law's marriage not happening. You suggested that we should compromise. We have tried that as well. We have compromised on everything: low education, out of caste, and out of city proposals. However, as I mentioned, after everything is set, the proposal is canceled either by their side or by ours. Furthermore, the younger sister-in-law is 25 years old, and people don't even come to see her, even though she is beautiful and has a good height. Even in her case, after the initial discussion is finalized, people do not even show up to see her.

Your sister-in-law is not getting married. People often don't return after the initial talks are finalized. You should perform the Dua-e-Istikhara (Prayer of Guidance), give sadaqa and khairat (charity), and help in the marriages of the daughters of the needy/deserving people. Then see how Allah Almighty opens the doors of mercy for you. If you feel there is any misfortune (nahusat), that too will be removed by doing good/virtuous deeds.
