There is a significant difference between Patience (Sabr) and Victimhood (Mazloomiyat). Patience (Sabr) is an active emotion/virtue. Patience does not mean mere tolerance, nor is it a sign of weakness. It means that no matter the circumstances, we make the decision that God (Allah Almighty) has commanded. For example, when the Prophet (PBUH) lost his son, he said, "Our heart is greatly saddened and our eyes are full of tears, but we will only do what pleases our Lord (Rabb)." A sluggish (passive) person is a victim, and indeed, God Almighty is aware of the deceptions of humans, and we are accountable to the Lord for our excuses. Key Differences Highlighted
