DWQA QuestionsNavigating Marriage Proposals and Background Checks Abroad

There is a girl whose parents want to marry her to her first cousin (father's brother's son) who lives in England. There isn't much visiting back and forth, and no one really knows much about his activities. The family and relatives are proceeding with the marriage solely on the trust that 'he is a boy from the family, so he must be fine,' and typically in such situations, no proper investigation is conducted. However, the girl is very confused about the environment and mindsets there. In such a situation, how should this girl conduct her own investigation?

The idea that 'he is a family child, so he must be good' regarding your father's brother's son in England is completely baseless; you don't know what his activities are. Anyway, it's not difficult now; if you gain access to his accounts through social media, you can find out a lot—who he follows and who follows him. Also, make a group, add your Mahrams and him, and ask questions in text form to try and figure things out. Perform Dua-e-Istikhara as well.
