Can a Simple Nikkah be a Mehr?

You want to keep a simple Nikah as the Mahr, but what is the issue? Go ahead with a simple Nikah and discuss it. When a person stays grounded and says, 'I want to make my event a model (of simplicity) for others,' people will understand and be convinced. However, let the Mahr remain as it is. There is a benefit to it. I value your intentions, but there is a divine wisdom behind Allah's commands. Humans tend to value things they have invested in or spent money on. And remember, male psychology often leans toward wanting the 'upper hand.' When they spend and provide, they feel more confident and responsible. Therefore, do not give up the Mahr so easily.
