Seeking Proximity: A Guide to Drawing Closer to Allah

You want to draw closer to Allah the Almighty? Perform Sajda (prostration). While in prostration, say: 'My Lord, I have no one but You.' Feel it deeply—either as if you are seeing Him, or with the awareness that He is watching you. Furthermore, recite the Words of Allah (the Quran) and feel as though they are being revealed directly onto your heart. Only then will you experience true proximity.
