There are three types of discharges:
Ejaculation (Mani): This is very clear in men, but can be slightly confusing for women. However, it is associated with a specific feeling of pleasure/climax, which makes it recognizable. In this case, Ghusl (ritual bath) becomes obligatory.
Arousal Fluid (Madhi): This occurs when a person is aroused and their passions are high. Unlike ejaculation, this only requires Istinja (washing the private parts) and washing the affected area of the clothing. After this, you can perform Wudhu and offer prayers; Ghusl is not required.
Normal Discharge: This is the discharge that naturally lubricates the vagina. If you see it, you should wash it off, but it does not make Ghusl obligatory.
