Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.)
The Question:
In this [dua], only wives are mentioned, so should this dua only be made by the husband?
And if only the wife makes this dua, will love only be created in her heart, and will it have no effect on the husband's heart?

No, it is vice versa (it applies to both). It is for both of them, and there is no distinction between men and women in this matter.
There are very few specific matters where Allah Almighty has addressed men and women separately. Fundamentally, these are all human needs, in which there is no difference between a man and a woman.
